Check out a Nature Backpack from the library!

The Nature Backpacks program allows Virginians to check out from a public library one of 540 Nature Backpacks that includes a free state park pass. The backpack contains information and materials to make the trip to one of the 36 state parks an enjoyable as well as a learning experience. “Today children spend less time outdoors and even less immersed in nature-based activities,” said Virginia State Parks Director Craig Seaver. “These backpacks will provide opportunities for families to venture out to a park.”
