Lemonade Lecture -
Pioneers of the Sea - July 22
Have you ever wished you could go to sea in a boat and visit a far-away land
or thought about how exciting it must be to be a sailor or a fisherman on a
big boat? Today, the real story
of boats and ships and the people who sail on them will be told by a visitor
from the Mariners’ Museum. You
will hear of the adventures of long-ago sailors who navigated across the
oceans to explore new lands or who fought in great naval battles.
You will learn about different types of boats and instruments that
were used in the past and those that are used today to travel by water.
