The archival collection materials are housed in the Herman Hollerith Archives. The collections are cataloged and can be accessed by the Library online public access catalog.
All archival collections are non-circulating and must be viewed only in the Chesapeake Room. All materials must be returned to the staff member on duty before the researcher leaves the Chesapeake Room.
The researcher is responsible for the careful handling of all materials made available. Extra care should be taken in handling brittle pages, in opening folded papers and maps, and large volumes/albums. The archival materials should not be leaned on, traced over, altered, or otherwise handled in any way that may damage them.
Manuscripts and records are to be maintained in the order in which they are received by the researcher. Material discovered to be out of order should be brought to the attention of the staff member on duty.
